SANITATION CREW

This worker is a member of a cleaning crew whose duties are to clean and sanitize the plant to meet Quality Control and Bacterial Standards imposed by governmental agencies, such as the FDA.
The cleaning crew is required to completely clean and sanitize the plant quickly and efficiently during relatively short time periods between the plant’s normal production shifts, which typically requires that the sanitation worker work during late evenings/night (specific work shift to be determined by the supervisor), and frequent overtime (weekends, days, evenings).
The sanitation worker is required to:
  • work in an environment that is wet, very humid and undergoes extreme temperature changes.
  • work around large processing equipment in which chemicals will be used to complete the sanitation process.
  • take apart equipment, including piping and pumps, to clean them.
  • work as a team along with other members of the crew, under stressful conditions.
  • be flexible and willing to preform varying tasks per the supervisor’s instructions and in accordance with all safety, guidelines mandated by the employer.
  • maintain a positive attitude
Requirements:
  • frequently lift/move hoses, equipment chemical containers weighing 20-80 lbs throughout each and every work shift.
  • assist in transporting heavy equipment with forklifts or other devices.
  • wear employer specified protective gear, including three pairs of gloves, face/eye shields, aprons, boots, etc (some of which to be supplied by employer).
  • perform varying tasks while standing, lifting, crouching, etc, during long periods of time.



FOOD EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

This worker is a member of a production crew whose duties are to follow strict recipes, operate and monitor equipment, and respond as needed to ensure finished product quality. The successful candidate will be detail oriented with above average organizational skills. They must be self-motivated, possess leadership skills and experience, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to deal with problems and communicate effectively within the department. Must be able to interact in a dynamic team environment with a positive attitude and sound judgment.
The Food Equipment Operator is required to:
  • follow recipe and HACCP steps to ensure correct completion of all recipes to pre-determined standards.
  • learn, operate and adjust multiple in-line pieces of processing equipment.
  • manage multiple recipes and steps at the same time; working organized and clean.
  • be responsible for completing required paperwork accurately and honestly.
  • adhere to posted GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • own, lead and develop one’s own production line/process with 100% adherence to all recipe designs; no deviations.
  • after training and appropriate time in the position; to run, adjust, breakdown and reassemble job specific processing equipment.
  • be responsible for any and all line product being put “on hold” or deemed “waste”, as a result of line error or inefficiencies.
  • clean and inspect all process equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards in an efficient manner.
  • be responsible for any and all line “Down Time”, related to your processing line/equipment.
  • maintain a positive attitude.
Requirements:
  • at least one year experience in a manufacturing environment, or similar experience.
  • college degree preferred
  • properly use a scale to tare containers and weigh ingredients.
  • frequently lift/move hoses, buckets, bags, and equipment weighing 20-80 lbs throughout each and every work shift.
  • understand input/output relationships in a process.
  • assist in transporting heavy equipment with forklifts or other devices.
